Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!

On Thursday 6th June Otters’ class became beachcombers for the day when they visited Colwyn Bay as part of their seaside topic ‘Beachcombers’.   The sun was shining as we set off on our adventure where, after a brief comfort break, the children arrived ready for a picnic lunch by the sea.

With sated appetites, we ventured onto the beach where the children enjoyed digging and building sandcastles, collecting shells, rocks and pebbles and all sorts of other weird and wonderful stuff to be found at the seashore. Fortunately no living creatures made it back to school.

The day was finally rounded off with a stop at the ice-cream kiosk where the children enjoyed a delicious ice-cream cone in the sea air before we travelled back with our tired little beachcombers.

A big thank you goes to Mrs Loughhead, Mr Knobbs, Mrs Lalley, Mrs Hallam and Mr Cooper for accompanying us on our visit and making it all possible.

It was a brilliant day, thoroughly enjoyed by all and the children’s behaviour was impeccable.
