As you will be aware, Class Dojo is an online learning platform. It is an excellent way to stay in touch with staff and to see your child’s learning in school. It is also an excellent platform for our remote learning. Classes can be shared with other staff in school.
Each class has a Class Story, which is where we share photos, tutorials and files to aide learning with all families. This private feed is viewable by the parents and pupils, through both parent and pupil accounts. Your class teacher will often post weekly updates, tutorials and worksheets etc. as homework and to assist with remote learning.
Comments under posts in Class Story are visible to all, so these should be appropriately positive and polite in tone.
This is a way to connect directly with your child’s teacher.
Messages should be directly related to teaching and learning.
Please do not send any messages of a personal or sensitive nature via Class Dojo; contact the class teacher directly by telephoning the school office (01538 308356) to request a call back.
Please ensure that any photos you upload are appropriate and not of a personal or sensitive nature. They MUST be appropriate to be shared with others.
As always, if you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact any of the safeguarding leads (Mrs Hulme) directly and do not raise these through Class Dojo.
This is a digital portfolio section where teachers can set home learning and allows pupils to share work with their teachers and family. Pupils can add to their portfolio using Chromebooks, laptops, and iOS/Android devices. Teachers are able to view and approve pupil’s work on Portfolios using any device. Once approved, only parent accounts connected to their child can see those particular posts and both parents and teachers can leave positive feedback in the form of a like and/or comments.
All parents are invited to register for Class Dojo. A link will be sent to your contact email address. By accepting the link and registering with Class Dojo you are consenting to your child’s information being shared between you and the school on this platform.
Changes made to the EU/GDPR agreement means that parents need to be aware that all data is currently stored in the USA.
Accounts are maintained and renewed on an annual basis.
Class Dojo is also FERPA compliant, can be viewed here
