Home Learning

Welcome to our home learning page!

This page has been created especially to share all the fantastic things you are doing at home during the school closure period. We have been astounded by the creativity, enthusiasm and commitment you have all shown to your learning in these strange and uncertain times and we just want to say a huge well done and thank you to you all. Parents, we thank you for your continued support, for your commitment to making sure learning happens every day when working from home yourselves and for your communications with us. It is because of you that we get to continue to do what we love best – celebrating your child’s learning.

Again, well done to you all – keep up the fantastic work! And until we are all back together in our wonderful school, stay safe and well.

From all the staff at Waterhouses CE Primary Academy

We have been busy in school with our key worker children, doing all sorts of learning! Mr Walker has been continuing PE with us, Mr Wood has been delivering some Forest School learning, we’ve been doing arts and crafts with Mrs Hulme, bug hunts and gardening with Mrs Lafford and Mrs Bradbury and lots, lots more!

Mrs Lafford, Mrs Murray, Faith and Oscar made a musical quartet and produced a couple of special songs for you on the glockenspiels. We apologise in advance if this song gets stuck in your head for a few hours!

This piece is for everyone who has a ‘lockdown birthday’. We hope you have a special day even though you can’t celebrate it with your friends in school. Happy Birthday!

Bank Holiday VE Day celebrations

You all made such an effort to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day at home that we thought we’d share some of the pictures you sent us. Here is a little virtual Waterhouses CE Primary Academy celebration – enjoy!
